It was a beautiful day!

I received today these absolutely adorable letters from a 2nd grade class. My son is in this class and his own letter cracks me up (Max). 

I got teary eyes reading them, I was really not expecting this and I feel very grateful for receiving so much love!

I hesitated hiding my real name and then thought, the heck! Who cares!

Can I go and live in a kids world anyway?

Teach-In is a wonderful program that allows parents to come an talk about their job or passion and demonstrate in front of the children. 

So instead of talking, I did some singing!

We started slow with some nice French songs about love and unity (cause don't we need it right now?!) and then we picked up the beat.

And then the kids went wild! It was crazy and so much fun.

I had not prepared an encore, but had to oblige with pleasure!

I am so happy to be "honorary teacher" for Sand Lake Elementary now!
]]><![CDATA["Performing for the children was one of my best stage moments"]]>Wed, 09 Nov 2016 17:12:19 GMThttp://www.zazarmony.com/blog/performing-for-the-children-was-one-of-my-best-stage-momentsOn November 8th, Zaza performed French songs in front of children from 5 to 12 years old at Hillcrest Elementary school downtown for their Foreign Language Academy French Week festivities. "I must say this is one of my best stage moments!", she said.

"I received so much love from these wonderful children! I even got my first ever autograph request from a sweet 5 year old! (followed by many kids lining up to get one! Ah! I am now officially famous!)

Thank you Hillcrest Elementary for having me and including me in your week long festivities, it was a pleasure to sing for you all!

When asked how it felt to sing in front of children and if they liked it this is what Zaza answered: "They are the best audience! They actually listen. One of the little girls after I was done came to me and said that in the middle of "La vie en rose" from Edith Piaf, she felt like she wanted to cry! And that my dear made me proud because It means that it does not matter whether they understood the lyrics or not, but the emotions went straight to their heart. Music is a universal language and Kids get it. 

Kids gave me so much love. There was a wonderful exchange happening in that room yesterday!"

Zaza's deep strong voice combines soulfulness and traditional French "Parisian" accent. 

Zaza does not sing, she tells stories and even if you don't speak French, you will be captivated by her emotional voice that sends your heart onto overdrive.
